About

All About Our Bowling Club

Established in 1924 we are a small bowling club set in the heart of Freuchie in the Bow of Fife. The village and the area surrounding the club is kept beautiful by volunteers from Freuchie in Flower who have previously won gold in the Beautiful Fife awards.

Our Aim

Our aim is to promote the sport of lawn bowls and ensure it is accessible to all. We welcome people from the village and surrounding area to come and try the game during the bowling season which runs from April through to the end of September. As well as bringing people together, the game is a great form of low intensity exercise.

We play in friendly fixtures between April and September every year against many local and some not too far away bowling clubs, which allows us to meet friends both old and new and enjoy their company during the games and after with refreshments.

Members can participate in men's, ladies and mixed internal competitions throughout the year of which there are plenty to chose from.

There is also a variety of external competitions for men, women and seniors that many of our members take part in during the season.

As well as bowling we have entertainment in the clubhouse throughout the year. Between Oct-April we host Breakfast Raffles on the first Saturday of every month. Year round we host psychic nights, drag acts, popular bands, duo's and solo artists from Fife and beyond.

The Club house is open 7 days during the bowling season and Thur-Sun during the winter months.

To keep up to date with events, please visit the calendar on our home page. Regular updates are posted weekly on our Facebook page too.

We welcome spectators who can enjoy a drink from the bar. We are especially lucky that the external seating areas are a sun trap in the summer months which makes watching bowls even more enjoyable.
